First of all, I looove this cover! It's beautiful and detailed with its red color and gold accents. 😍⁠⁠
Even though it took me a while to get into it, I loved the story. There was just too much information being introduced in a short amount of time. ⁠⁠
Characters, names, hierarchies, history of the world the book is set in... just too much all at once. In my head I was like girl, slow it down a bit and lemme get used to things one info at a time, please. ⁠⁠

Not gonna lie, it dragged a bit in the beginning but once it hit about 40%, it started to pick up real fast. Suddenly there was one twist after another and I was glued to the pages, reading looong into the night, even though I had work the next day. I just couldn't stop! I flew through the second half of the book, not even stopping to highlight some quotes, which says a lot because I always highlight quotes when I'm into the book. ⁠⁠

Sarah J. Maas has written this story with lots of layers For Bryce and Hunt and well-developed side characters as well. Would definitely recommend reading this one!

After all the intense romances I’ve been reading lately, I needed a light and easy read where I didn’t have to think much.
The Invitation was that for me.
It’s a fun, contemporary romance with likeable characters and a couple of laugh-out-loud moments which were really funny.

I did have some issues with the book but I went in pretty much knowing how the plot was going to unfold. I guessed the “twist” pretty early on so there were no surprises for me at all. Which was fine. Like I said, this book served as a breather from the dark and intense romances I’ve been reading lately. I needed a mental break.

All in all it’s a sweet contemporary romance with very little angst or drama. So if you’re a fan of those, check this book out! You’ll probably like it.

Guys, I have the biggest book hangover! I still can’t stop thinking about this book. I’ve tried moving on from it but it’s just not possible. Every book I’ve picked up since finishing 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨 is just not holding my interest long enough to get into the story.

@nicolefiorinabooks has enchanted me with her beautiful words and painted such vivid pictures of Weeping Hollow inside my head that I am unable to let go of Julian and Fallon just yet.
I became consumed with their story, a hauntingly beautiful tale of love, mysterious curses and witches. 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨 is unlike any other story I’ve read before!

I don’t say this lightly but this book truly is a masterpiece. It played like a movie inside my head, transporting me to Weeping Hollow, a town full of witches and superstitious people, that comes alive at night.
The only other book I have ever called a masterpiece was The Picture of Dorian Gray, which is also one of my all-time favorites.

There aren’t enough stars for me to rate this book. I encourage you to read this if you love fantasy mixed in with mysterious curses and star-crossed lovers.

This book slayed me, seriously!
It’s damn hard to make me cry with a book. And yet K. Bromberg has done it.
To be completely honest, I didn’t expect this book to be so intense. I went into it thinking I was going to read a sports romance with a little bit of drama and angst mixed into it. What I got was so much more... and thank god for that! I really liked Dekker... she was strong and didn’t take shit from anyone. She knew what she wanted and was the only one who even cared to look close enough and see that there was something going on in Hunter’s life.
Hunter... he had so much guilt weighing him down and the only way he knew how to release it was through anger... on and off the ice. My heart really broke for him.

This is a story about second chances, forgiveness and most importantly love. I absolutely loved this. Definitely recommend reading it.

To be completely honest, I didn’t expect this book to be so intense. I went into it thinking I was going to read a sports romance with a little bit of drama and angst mixed into it. What I got was so much more... and thank god for that! I really liked Dekker... she was strong and didn’t take shit from anyone. She knew what she wanted and was the only one who even cared to look close enough and see that there was something going on in Hunter’s life.

𝙍𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 by @rachvd was my favorite mafia read last year. Hell, her mafia books are my favorite... EVER! I absolutely love living in this world she created and I love coming back to it. I’ve re-read RVD’s original Eagle Elite series dozens of times.
Even though I was a little scared to start this new series set in the Eagle Elite world, I am so glad I did. I know I’m a bit late to the game here BUT on the bright side I can now binge-read the next two books in the series. I believe book number 3 Destructive King is out to today, which I’m really excited about 😁 I have a feeling Ash’s story ist going to shatter my heart and mend it in the best possible way.

This book was intense and I suspect it’ll only get better from here on out (... or worse for the characters, depends on how you look at it).
I love that the mafia-aspect of living in this life isn’t sugarcoated. There’s blood and murder and really hard choices that have to be made which is realistic for a book set in such a cruel, dangerous world.

This one wasn’t easy. On the one hand I really liked the writing and worldbuilding but I had trouble identifying with the main character, Jude. How she acted, her thought process at times, the decisions she’s made... not gonna lie, I was tempted to throw the book against the wall once or twice while reading.
That’s good, though. It means I’m (somewhat) invested in the story because if I get angry, that means I care.

▪️ I’ve been in such a book-funk lately, not really able to stay interested in a story long enough to finish it.
Instead I’ve been rereading books I loved in the past. I guess it’s about the comfort of knowing how a story ends instead of the anxiety of the unknown...!? If that makes any sense...

One of those rereads is 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚 by 𝙑. 𝙁. 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣.
O. M. G. This book... I haven’t even read it that long ago but the story is still with me. It pops into my head at random times and I just can’t seem to shake it.
It’s dark and angsty and twisted but it’s written in such a beautiful and compelling way that you have no choice but to keep reading until you finish the book.

▪️ I’ve been in such a book-funk lately, not really able to stay interested in a story long enough to finish it.
Instead I’ve been rereading books I loved in the past. I guess it’s about the comfort of knowing how a story ends instead of the anxiety of the unknown...!? If that makes any sense...

One of those rereads is 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘼𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚 by 𝙑. 𝙁. 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣.
O. M. G. This book... I haven’t even read it that long ago but the story is still with me. It pops into my head at random times and I just can’t seem to shake it.
It’s dark and angsty and twisted but it’s written in such a beautiful and compelling way that you have no choice but to keep reading until you finish the book.

I loved Gabriel! Even though at first he comes off as a hard and menacing man, we learn throughout the story that behind his tough exterior is a world full of guilt and pain. He’s such a great character which shows in the way he treats Scarlett. He knows that they are from completely different worlds, which is why he tries so hard to fight his attraction to her. I can’t wait to finish their story. Currently reading book 2.

I love this series by Julie Johnson so much. Kat Firestone is truly one of the most relatable heroines I have ever read about. Most of the time while reading I felt like her and I were the same person. It doesn’t happen very often that a story evokes such powerful emotions from me. It pulled at my heartstrings so hard that after finishing this book I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. I seriously recommend reading this book.
